Farmhouse sinks are an extremely practical way to maximize your sink work area while also conserving counter space. Copper and porcelain farmhouse sinks provide a rustic charm while stainless steel farmhouse sinks like the Zuhne Prato sink lend a more modern flare and can blend into just about any kitchen design.
Premium-grade stainless steel construction
The body of the sink is made from pure, premium-grade 16-gauge stainless steel. Because the entire build of the sink is 1.5mm thick stainless steel throughout, it means there are no weak spots; this prolongs the life of the sink, while also keeping it free from unsightly issues like dents and cracks. Additionally, the steel body is made in a safe, lead-free environment, so that the steel remains pure, uncompromised, and most importantly, safe for you and your family.
Scratch-resistant satin finish
The finish is nontoxic for safety and scratch-resistant for durability and appearance. It’s a satin finish that develops a classic patina overtime that is unique to each individual sink. This patina enhances the overall beauty of the sink and lends a subtle charm to your kitchen.
Multiple mounting options
Perhaps the biggest thing that sets the Zuhne Prato apart from other farmhouse sink styles is that this one sink can be mounted in three different ways. Most other farmhouse sinks may only have one mounting option, so you have to know well in advance how you want your farmhouse sink mounted before you ever buy it. With the Zuhne Prato, you can buy the sink first and worry about mounting later. Choose between a 3/8-inch positive reveal, a zero reveal (flush) mount, or a 1/8-inch negative reveal. The great thing about the multiple mounting options is that it also frees you up stylistically if you want to keep your sink but change your countertops at a later date.
The nontoxic undercoating DualPro is built into the Zuhne sink. It protects the counters around your sink from condensation and resulting issues like mold and mildew. This same technology also prevents leaks or water damage from cropping up as well.
The Zuhne Prato features built-in 5mm sound pads. These sound pads cancel out drip noises while also absorbing sound vibrations from the garbage disposal, mitigating the noise level there as well. Zuhne claims their sink is the quietest on the market due to this smart noise cancellation system.
The Zuhne Prato comes with a limited lifetime warranty, a “no questions asked” return policy and free 24/7 customer support.
The beautiful stainless-steel construction is the first thing immediately noticeable about the Zuhne Prato. Its high-quality build is evident from the moment you set eyes upon it, and that feeling is amplified when you touch it. It’s thick, durable and feels like it will last for many years to come.
My favorite thing about the Zuhne farmhouse sink is the three different mounting options. Other farmhouse sinks I’ve looked at have been designed for one or two mounting options only. I like the versatility this sink offers because I can change my mind at a later date if I want, and still be able to use my sink. I chose the zero reveal, or flush mounting option. This is what I feel works best for me, personally, but I know someone who chose a positive reveal and the sink looks beautiful in their kitchen as well.
The apron feels very practical and the sink is very ergonomic to use. You don’t feel like straining your back and it hits me just right when I’m washing dishes.
As for cleaning, it gets top marks. It’s incredibly easy to clean and I think the rounded corners help that. It also comes up to snuff for the quiet disposal claim. It’s definitely a lot quieter than the previous sinks I’ve used.
All in all, I’m very happy with this sink. I obviously haven’t had it for long, but it’s changed my life, and I can’t wait for it to get the promised patina on the finish.

Yes, the Zuhne farmhouse sink is lead-free and manufactured in a lead-free facility.
I don’t like curved aprons. Is there an alternative in the same style?

What is a patina?
A patina is a slightly greenish-iridescent sheen that the finish develops over time. This is a highly valued feature among fans of metallic sinks like stainless steel and copper. The Zuhne Prato patina develops very softly and doesn’t look overdone like other sinks you may have seen with a patina.
The Zuhne Prato provides excellent looks with a chameleonlike aesthetic that easily blends into any kitchen design drawback. The build is high-quality and the design is well-thought out; I also love that it’s manufactured safely, free of led, and free of toxins. I really enjoy using this sink and I’d recommend it to any of my friends.
